
Carthage, North Carolina founded in 1784, is the county seat for Moore County. Carthage was once home to the world-renowned Tyson and Jones Buggy factory. Revisited annually during the its Buggy Festival, this era brought Carthage great prosperity that can still be felt throughout the area and seen in the numerous historic buildings of Carthage.
