The Little River Golf and Resort in Carthage, NC, is one of those courses that a golfer comes to and instinctively knows that a good round is a distinct possibility. Little River would not be classified as easy, but it does have very wide fairways that are open and will hold most shots. The 6,939-yard, par 72 course gives a golfer a chance to make recovery shots and know that the greens are not as harsh as many others in the area.

Pinehurst Course No. 6 was ranked 95 in the Top 100 Courses in North Carolina. The course opened in 1979, was renovated 2005 and reopened as a championship course. Renovations by Tom Fazio have increased shot values, developed all new putting greens and rebunkered the entire course - making it a strong addition to the championship golf set at Pinehurst. You'll find the terrain different here - rolling hills make for a test from the tee box. The back nine is one the most difficult anywhere. One thing rings true - it continues to be a favorite for those who love Fazio designs.

The course rating is 73.2 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by George Fazio, ASGCA/Tom Fazio, ASGCA, the #6 golf course opened in 1979.
